Course overview

Introducing you to fundamental requirements for classification, declassification, and safeguarding of national security (classified) information; this course reviews the contents of the Information Security Oversight Office's (ISSO) Directive No. 1. It also teaches you how to properly mark classified documents.Upon completion of the course, clearly understand the principles of classification management related to classification, declassification, and safeguarding of classified information. Fullygrasp the rationale and mechanics of properly marking a classified document. This course is a combination of instructor briefings, video presentations, group discussions, and practical exercises.

Who should attend?

Government and Industry personnel who are responsible for applying derivative classification markings. Attendees must be U.S. citizens.
